M.M. Employees Reveal What They’re Buying from the Fall Collection

We don’t like to play favorites…but we did. Here are the pieces in our carts right now.

By Madeleine Kim

MM.LaFleur’s collection really comes alive in the fall. Don’t get me wrong—everything our design team creates is beautiful (and functional, and so very comfortable). But between the rich, earthy colors, the textural knits, and the new layering possibilities, there’s something extra special about our August styles.

I’m not the only one who feels this way. In fact, the entire M.M. team has been waiting to get their hands on our new styles for months. Here are the pieces we’re most excited to buy—as long as they don’t sell out before we can snag them…

The Bia Pants

The Bia pants are a runaway hit among our team—and judging by how quickly they’re selling out, our customers are on the same page. “They are so chic and cool—the perfect fall trouser,” says Angie, our Merchandising Associate. Cindy, our Graphic Designer, agrees: “The details make them such standouts compared to other wide-leg pants. They’re so chic, but also so easy to pair.” Speaking of perfect pairings, next on our list is…

Kiki Sweater | Top Fall Collection Picks

The Kiki Sweater

I adore everything about the Kiki sweater: its juicy red hue, its warm-hug coziness, the unexpected voluptuousness of its cable-knit pattern—I’ll stop there before it gets weird. Our Senior Ecommerce Associate, Anna, has it in her shopping cart, too. “Funky knits are my love language,” she explains. Well said.

The Jeannine Dress

The first time we released the Jeannine dress, it sold out almost immediately—so if you’re anything like our VP of Finance and resident dress-lover, Kristen, you’ll want to grab yours now. This time around, we’ve made it in a multi-toned pattern called windowpane plaid, and the sophistication of the silhouette coupled with the playful pattern is just so chic.

Eloise Vest | Top Fall Collection Picks

The Eloise Vest

By now, you know how much I love our strawberry-colored cable-knit sweaters. The only problem is, I live in Texas. Luckily, our wonderful design team created the warm-weather-friendly Eloise vest, which I’ll be wearing as a top during the fall and layered over my button-down shirts in the winter.

The O’Hara Blazer

When I asked my teammates to share which pieces they were buying from the fall collection, there was one person whose answer I already knew. Our Director of Brand Partnerships & Communications, Maria, owns five O’Hara blazers—and you better believe she’s ready for a sixth. How could she not be? This is the first time we’ve made the O’Hara blazer in our ultra-popular, super-functional OrigamiTech fabric, so it’s never been easier to take on the go.

Axam Turtleneck | Top Fall Collection Picks

The Axam Turtleneck

Customers have been asking us to make our pima-cotton T-shirts in navy for years—and we’re so excited that they’re finally here! The Axam turtleneck is a consistent favorite among customers and M.M. employees alike, thanks to its buttery soft feel and sharp, polished look. In fact, I have yet to chat with someone on my team who’s not adding galaxy blue to their Axam collection.

The Marcella Dress

Our team always designs with versatility in mind, and nothing demonstrates that better than styles that can be worn in multiple ways. In fact, it’s that dual functionality that drew our CRM Associate, Claire, to the Marcella dress. “It’s a must-have!” she says. “Major versatility points for being a dress AND a vest, and the chic cap sleeves are the cherry on top.”
