6 New Summer Styles for Special Occasions

Warm-weather jewel tones, washable party dresses, and more.

By Madeleine Kim

Remember all those plans people postponed over the last two years? Well, in many cases, the time the plans were postponed to is now. Between all the graduations, birthdays, picnics, and weddings, this summer is shaping up to be a busy one.

In just a couple of days, we’re adding a beautiful batch of new styles to our summer collection. And because many of these styles are ideal for special occasions, we’ve decided to give you a sneak peek at some of the highlights. Here’s what to wear for your most exciting summer plans.

1.

For the Fancy Birthday Lunch

With its removable waist sash, asymmetrical hemline, and punchy pattern, everything about the DiemMy dress says let’s celebrate. Pairs well with lemonade and the sunny side of the table.

2.

For the Graduation

Manifest clear skies on your child’s/sibling’s/friend’s/cousin’s friend’s nephew’s graduation day with the Lara dress, launching soon in vibrant Carolina blue. An asymmetrical hemline gives the dress unique flair, and machine-washable fabric makes it easy as can be.

3.

For Mother’s Day Brunch

The beauty of the Fatima dress is that it can be easily dressed up or down depending on your plans. Try a more defined look by using the removable sash, or make it more casual with sneakers.

4.

For the Summer Wedding

We put together a comprehensive guide to wedding-guest outfits here, but if you want to keep it simple, this is our advice: Just wear the Jillian dress in berry, which looks excellent on everyone.

5.

For the Saturday Park Picnic

The new knit Danica dress is comfortable, easy, and long enough that you can sit on a picnic blanket without feeling exposed. For chilly days, add the matching Tyler sweatshirt on top.

6.

For the Daytime Date

Look like you tried—but not too hard—in the Paige tank and Orchard skirt. Pairs well with long walks and high standards.
