Quiz: Ready to Find Your Wardrobe Soulmate?

We created a ’90s-magazine-style quiz to help you find your perfect match. We know you’ll be very happy together.

By Tory Hoen

With Valentine’s Day approaching, we’ve been contemplating the idea of compatibility. What does it take to find “the one?” And no, we’re not talking about a romantic partner. We’re talking about an outfit that feels like a second skin—an ensemble that truly gets you.

Dressing, like dating, is ultimately about knowing thyself and then following thine gut. But with so many gorgeous pieces to choose from this spring, it’s easy to get a little lost in the search for true love style.

Below, we’ve created a ’90s-magazine-style quiz (remember Seventeen? YM? Tiger Beat?) to help you find your wardrobe soulmate. We know you’ll be very happy together.

Question 1: Don't overthink it: which option best describes your style?
A. Feminine. Freewheeling. Bring on the bright colors!

B. Modern. Minimalist. Neutrals with an edge.

C. Sophisticated. Understated. Classic. Always-appropriate.

D. Comfy. Cozy. Soft. And always nap-ready.
Question 2: You finally emerge from your pandemic burrow, and you run straight into your ex. Yikes. What do you hope you're wearing?
A. A fun, flattering red dress

B. A nonchalant, oversized jacket

C. An intimidating power look

D. A couldn’t-care-less comfy tee
Question 3: You're heading to a picnic in the park with friends. What do you throw on with jeans?
A. A sweater with a little flair

B. An impossibly cool scuba-knit “shacket”

C. A sophisticated knit sweatshirt

D. The softest hoodie you can get your hands on
Question 4: Your friends would be shocked to see you in:
A. An all-black outfit

B. A flowy, floral dress

C. A sweatsuit

D. A pantsuit
Question 5: If you were an alcoholic drink, you would be:
A. An Aperol spritz

B. Whisky neat

C. Red wine

D. Beer
A. A Rom-Com

B. A Classic

C. A Thriller

D. Self-Help

Your wardrobe soulmate is:

The Tippy dress!

You’re fun, unapologetic, and you know it’s best not to take life too seriously. In other words: we want to hang out with you, and so does the Tippy dress. Strut into spring in this pretty pattern and flowy silhouette, which looks great day or night, indoors or out.

Your wardrobe soulmate is:

The Cassandra dress over the Milo jeans!

You’re cool, confident, and you make your own rules—so why not pair a dress with pants? The versatile Cassandra can be worn on its own, but when you throw it on as a topper over a wide-leg jean, you become an instant icon. This is minimalist-chic at its finest.

Your wardrobe soulmate is:

The Hyo jacket and Constance dress!

You run things. That much is clear. And while you prefer your wardrobe classic and streamlined, there is always a little room to play—especially as the weather warms up. Swap your typical sharp jacket for a slightly looser silhouette. Wear it with a classic dress for work, or pair it with shorts or jeans on the weekend.

Your wardrobe soulmate is:

The Carr jumpsuit!

Simplicity is your name and comfort is your game. And if you’ve been living in athleisure and PJs, we don’t blame you. But now is your moment to reemerge in a look that makes a statement while feeling easy-breezy. We love a one-and-done outfit, and it doesn’t get better than a jumpsuit.
