The Easy Outfit Formula Every Woman Should Know About
Our stylish friends show off their interpretations of a tried-and-true M.M. look.
A capsule wardrobe is a set of pieces that can be mixed and matched to create a wide variety of outfits. And to help you make the most of your M.M., we’re teaming up with some of our favorite creators to come up with a new one each month. For this month’s capsule, we challenged a few of our most stylish friends to show us their interpretation of a tried-and-true M.M. outfit formula:

The Spring-Ready Look
Want to fully embrace the season? Look no further than this elegant outfit curated by Yana (@yanabstyle). The pink-and-ivory palette makes the look feel playful, but because the Foster pants and Woolf jardigan are similar in shade, this outfit could also act as a suit. And for those returning to the office, it has the ideal balance of polish and comfort to ease you back into real clothes. “I’ve been working from home for two years, and I’m usually wearing something comfortable, which is a huge change from how I used to dress for work,” Yana explains. “Now that I’m facing going back, there is one thing that I don’t want to let go of, and that’s the comfort of my clothes!”

The Boyfriend Blazer Look
A boyfriend blazer that’s just the right amount of oversized is an easy shortcut to great style. And Emily’s (@ekammeyer) outfit proves that it all starts with thoughtful designs that fit just right. “Before becoming an influencer, I was a Technical Design Director,” she explains. “I love nothing more than beautifully made clothes that FIT! When I met the team at M.M.LaFleur, I was blown away by how thoughtfully designed every piece in the collection is and the major attention to detail and fit.” We love how Emily took classic pieces like the O’Hara blazer, Lisey cami, and Foster pants, and then made them her own with accessories, like a chic silky scarf tied around her neck.

The Undercover Comfort Look
This may look like a put-together, office-ready outfit—and it is. But there’s more to it than meets the eye. Carol’s (@caroldemauro) entire outfit is super stretchy and comfortable, so you can feel as good as you look. She explains: “Juggling being a mom to a newborn baby and an entrepreneur is not easy, and I really appreciate having comfortable outfits that allow me to get things done! The Foster pants are simply magical—they are machine-washable, boast adjustable hems, and have a comfortable fit that moves with me anywhere I go.” Plus, the Porter jacket looks like tweed but feels like a lightweight sweater—it’s the best of both worlds.

The Light-Neutral Look
In this outfit, styled by Brittany (@brittanyleighball), light neutrals come together to create a fresh spring look. But the great thing about these pieces is that you can easily mix and match as your wardrobe needs evolve. “To me, filling my wardrobe with pieces I know I will love for years to come has always been a priority—pieces that will move with me, grow with me, all while standing the test of time,” says Brittany. “Take the Foster pant. I’ve been able to style these pants about twenty different ways, but every time I wear them, they feel as if they were meant just for me.”
