CEO Style: Sarah LaFleur’s Fall Wardrobe – Part 3
November 05, 2014
Sarah in the Easy Top and Lafayette Scarf.
In the final installment of our series on Sarah’s fall wardrobe (see Part 1 and Part 2 here), our CEO shows us how to relax. Note: Her version of relaxing still involves looking super chic.
And FYI, Sarah gets her best work done while perched on the windowsill.
“For Fridays at work, I just want to keep things simple. I love the Easy Top because you can wear it loose or tuck it in. It works at the office, but you can also wear it right through the weekend, which I often do.”
“I love the combination of a silky shirt and chunky knit. It’s a beautiful contrast that feels cozy but just formal enough for work. Most important: it’s comfortable. The scarf is so warm and has a good amount of weight to it, but unlike some wools, it’s not itchy at all. Some delicate jewelry makes me feel ‘done’ without having to think too much about it.”
Catching up on emails is a lot more fun when you’re wearing a crisscross ring.
“Lately, I’m experimenting with tonal outfits that have minimal color contrast, so I paired the pearly silk top with an oak-colored scarf, white DL jeans, metallic Ferragamo flats, and some simple jewelry. For shorter women like me, wearing starkly contrasting colors can break up your body and make you look shorter, whereas wearing similar tones helps to elongate your shape. At least, that’s my theory. I don’t actually know if it’s true—ha.”
Steal Sarah’s look by shopping the Easy Top and the Lafayette Scarf. We promise she won’t mind.
