San Francisco weather is all over the place—it can be dreary and chilly one moment, and warm and sunny the next. Therefore, I embrace transitional dressing year-round, making light layers the heroes in my closet. And there is no layer more versatile than a blazer, especially one in a light neutral like beige melange. I’ve paired the Yiyan blazer with long trousers (and made the suit more casual with sandals) and worn it over my shoulders with the midi-length Jeannine dress for a more classic look at work.
A capsule collection is never complete without one standout item—a piece that’s modern and trend-forward while still feeling approachable and effortless. The Cassandra dress is it for me! I love the slightly narrow cut at the shoulders (with lingerie snaps, no less) and the beautiful midi-length shape. Wear it solo as a dress for a desk-to-dinner type of day, or pair it with wide-leg jeans for a fresh weekend look.
While almost everything else in this capsule is neutral in color (versatility, always!), the aloe-hued Nejvi top adds dimension. It has the most beautiful drape and ultra-flattering asymmetrical gathering at the waist. The best part: There are two completely different ways to wear it. You can tuck it into high-waisted bottoms, or leave it untucked. With its wrinkle-resistant fabric, the Nejvi is also perfect for work travel.
Rounding out the capsule with some essentials: My favorite Merritt jardigan in ivory (which looks great with the wide-leg Milo jeans seen above!), a stretchy, striped pima cotton tee, and classic pumps in rosy taupe.
