3 Work-to-Weekend Staples for Summer
June 16, 2015
When it comes to clothing, some believe in a strict separation of work versus play. At MM.LaFleur, we admire that kind of discipline. But every once in a while, we create a piece that we love so much, we simply refuse to take it off when the weekend rolls around.
Here are three favorites that work from Monday to Sunday.
The Amanpour Shirt
Named after one of our favorite journalists, the oversized Amanpour shirt is an easy take on the classic dress shirt. Tucked or untucked, with a pencil skirt of your favorite cut-offs, it’s the epitome of summer cool. Even better when paired with your favorite pup (Michaella chose Dot, of course).
The Park Slope Skirt
Our attitude toward passing fads is usually: “I don’t have time for this nonsense.” But when it comes to the mid-length skirt trend, we are 100% on board. We can’t get enough, and we hope they never go away. Case in point: The elegant Park Slope skirt. Pair it with a silky blouse for work, or follow Annabel‘s lead and wear it with your favorite top for weekend frolicking.
The Ephron Shirt
In the office, we noticed something: We’re happiest on days when we’re wearing the machine-washable, pajama-soft Ephron shirt. And then we had an epiphany—we can wear it on the weekend, too! It’s the perfect way to class up a pair of jeans or cut-offs. Done and done.
