A Peek Inside M.M. HQ: Six Teammates Share What They Bought from the New Collection

The New Classics are making appearances in all our chicest outfits.

By Emma Steinbergs

It’s not every collection drop that I go around the office, disrupting my colleagues’ days to demand that they participate in an impromptu photoshoot. The much-anticipated release of our New Classics, however, is an exception. This collection embodies what we’ve always been about (i.e. dressing with ease) but takes things to the next level with extra-fresh twists and brand-new iterations based on customer feedback (e.g. our first-ever boyfriend jardigan!). It’s effortless, fun, and the ideal entrée into 2025.

By asking our team to model their OOTDs, I was able to gather a range of heights and body types, demonstrating how these pieces might look on you. In the process, I found that everybody (1) looked exceptionally good and (2) wanted to tell me precisely why they’d chosen to purchase the pieces they were wearing. In other words, this story pretty much wrote itself (thanks, ladies!).

Kartinah, Director of Operations | Height: 5’10”

The Rowe Jean and O’Hara Blazer

“I’m 5’10,” so I’m very picky when it comes to my pant silhouettes. I was thrilled when I first tried on the Rowe jeans, because their slight flare adds shape to my taller frame without being bell-bottomy. I’ve recently noticed on Instagram that boot-cut is back in a big way, and I’m here for it. I also think it’s so cool how both these jeans and my blazer feature a contrast stitch. I did choose to wear a belt, but with the stitching, I feel like I don’t have to accessorize. By the way, this is my fourth O’Hara blazer—and counting!!”

Billi, Art Director | Height: 5’2”

The Kiki Sweater

“I’ve been very into orangey reds lately, so the Kiki sweater is the perfect way to keep growing my M.M. collection (I joined the team just a few months ago)! It’s chunky and cozy amidst the frigid weather we’re having in NYC right now, but I can totally see myself wearing it without a layer underneath once it’s warmer out, since it’s mostly cotton and, therefore, super breathable.”

Kate, Brand Marketing Associate | Height: 5’7”

The Curtis Trench and Axam Turtleneck

“I grew up in New England and lived in London for nearly five years, but I somehow never owned a classic trench coat—until now. I’ve always found that most khaki trenches wash me out, but the greener tone of our Curtis trench suits my warmer coloring much better. I also love how it pairs back to the floral pattern in my new Axam turtleneck! This is my favorite version of the Axam that we’ve made so far. The buttery jersey plus this charming print makes me so happy.”

Maddie, E-Commerce Associate | Height: 5’5”

The Rossi Blazer and Joanie Dress

“I definitely don’t typically wear full suits, but I do love a matching set. They automatically look chic and make getting dressed so easy. This one feels very much like me, thanks to the shorter hemline on the Joanie dress, which looks less formal than a full pant suit would. I sized up in the Rossi blazer for an oversized vibe, and I’m already wearing it on repeat with jeans on the weekend. As for styling the dress on its own, I plan to layer it over my black Axam turtleneck, and I can’t wait to wear it with sandals throughout the spring and summer.”

Ellie, Graphic Design Intern | Height: 5’3”

The Filomina Shirt

“I’m petite, so oversized styles often overwhelm me, but the Filomina shirt doesn’t since it’s not too billowy. It looks just slightly relaxed when buttoned up, and I’ve been really into wearing it unbuttoned as a shacket like I am today. I’ve never felt anything like it; the knit poplin feels nice and warm in the winter versus a traditional crisp button-down.”

Angie, Merchandising Associate | Height: 5’8”

The Kiki Sweater and Tinsley Trouser

“I immediately grabbed my size in the Tinsley trousers, because our knit suiting is one of the few things that’s made me excited to get out of bed this winter (why is it so cold?!). These pants seriously feel like pajamas—they’re so soft and stretchy—but look like cool wide-leg trousers. People always ask me where I got them! Today, I wore them with my pink Adidas for a fun pop of color, so I kept the top of my outfit neutral. The Kiki sweater is a go-to right now on chilly days, and this new marled version adds a nice extra touch of texture when styled over your shoulders.”
